DESCRIPTION:The North Country Folk Festival aims to bridge the gap between the student body and larger North Country community through a free\, family-friendly celebration of folk music\, folk arts\, local living\, and traditional skills of the North Country. This year?s event will consist of 11 hours of folk music from local and nationally touring bands\, a contra dance\, and many local vendors and demonstrators! The Folk Festival will be on April 23rd from noon until 11pm\, on the Old Java Quad\, at the center of campus. We aim to bring together passionate regional talent that reflects the North Country lifestyle emphasizing the establishment of community. This is our way of spreading this regional love beyond the St. Lawrence campus.
