Melanie began a career in radio news\, working as a reporter/anchor at stations in Peoria\, IL\, Columbus\, OH and Buffalo\, NY. After her award-winning journalism career\, she spent several years working in governmental communications for the New York State Legislature and the City of Buffalo's economic development and planning offices. After public and community relations jobs in the nonprofit and private sectors\, she came to BBB in 2014\, serving as chief spokesperson and manages all of BBB's media relations\, Community Partner program\, marketing functions\, and digital marketing and communications. \n\n\n\nA native of Buffalo\, she is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia\, where she continues to serve the school as an alumnus guest lecturer for the Communications department\, and the University of Illinois at Springfield. Melanie is a member of the Buffalo Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives and serves on the board of directors for Buffalo Crime Stoppers and the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce.
