DESCRIPTION:The festivities will be held Saturday\, July 24\, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday\, July 25\, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum\, Madrid\, NY.\n\n\n\nHighlights of the event will include Confederate and Union Encampments\; historical talks such as "Life of John Brown\," "What's in my haversack?\," and "Small Arms of the Civil War\;" and demonstrations of artillery firing and a Children's Muster\, which illustrates how members in a military unit are formally gathered\, especially for inspection.\n\n\n\nLive battle reenactments will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. Field Music of the 12th Massachusetts Volunteer Regiment will entertain the "civilians" and soldiers. SLPEM will have a food booth on site.\n\nPresented by the St. Lawrence County Historical Association (SLCHA)\, the St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum (SLPEM)\, and the 11th New York Light Artillery/Alexander's Battery\, the Civil War Reenactment Weekend will be held at a new location at the Power and Equipment Museum\, 1755 NY-345.\n\nSome additional attractions at SLPEM include a one-room schoolhouse\, carriage house\, log cabin\, heritage fibers building\, blacksmith shop\, farmhouse\, and more.\n\nThe entrance and free parking are in the back of the museum.\n\nFor more information about SLCHA and St. Lawrence County history\, call (315) 386-8133\, e-mail events@slcha.org\, or visit the www.SLCHA.org.
