Cobb & Associates.\n\n \n\nIt is an honor to serve on a non-profit board. Along with that honor is a responsibility to bring our best skill sets to our organizations so that they can grow and thrive. This highly interactive series is designed for participants to learn and hone their skills\, build relationships within the board and coach each other to build a strong board team.\n\n \nCommunication   The Key Building the Board Team\nMost of us think we are good communicators   but when assessed by others   we sometimes fall short. We have habits in our communication style and patterns. Board members will learn how to strengthen our communication skills\, so that we can be successful working with board peers\, community members and stakeholders and organization staff.\n\n \n\nWhat we will learn: \n\n\n	Define key words   communication\, motivation and morale and identify how important these are to the organization and the board's success\n	Assess our own Communication Social Style and explore ways to use our differences to create a strong team\n	Evaluate our listening skills and identify strategies for listening more actively \n	Practice simple supportive communication techniques
