DESCRIPTION:Join us once again - this August - in our quest to "Paddle for a Purpose"  with your help and energy\, we can raise funds to support CHMC's Richard E. Winter Cancer Treatment Center. Through the fun sports of kayaking\, canoeing\, and stand-up paddling\, you can continue to have fun in the great outdoors and give back in a manner that will keep cancer care improving\, close to home.  Run will be done in 4 "waves:\n\n9 am\, 9:30 am\, 10 am and 10:30 am.\n\n\n\nAmanda Hitterman\, Executive Director\, of the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center Foundation\, "In honor of this event's roots in Hammond\, part of the funds raised will go to a scholarship for a Hammond Central School District High School student studying in the medical field."\n\n\n\nTo ensure the Paddle is safe and COVID-19 friendly\, a limit of 250 paddlers this year is in place\, along with other safety protocols. Pre-registration is now open online until July 30\, 2021.   Registration will not be allowed on the day of the event.
