DESCRIPTION:The Potsdam Food Co-op holds its 24th Annual Holiday Baking Fest fundraiser: 2021 Edition The Potsdam Food Co-op will hold a special edition of its Annual Holiday Baking Fest this year. Because of continued Covid restrictions\, we will not be able to gather and celebrate the season by sampling delicious treats made by friends and neighbors\, or bid on a favorite in the Auction Showcase. Again this year\, we can not let the time go by without celebrating this annual tradition and raising needed funds for the Potsdam Neighborhood Center's food bank. Perhaps now more than ever is a time to celebrate traditions\, connections\, and helping others. This 24th Holiday Baking Fest will be celebrated during the first three weeks of December. We have created two holiday baskets that will be raffled\, each including an array of wonderful products from the Co-op. Also included is a $25 Co-op gift card and a small collection of winning recipes from past Baking Fests. These wonderful recipes span a decade\, from 2009 - 2019. Those included are: - 2009 Special Diet winner: Chocolate-Covered Pecan Clusters (vegan) by Lauren Bruce - 2016 Savory winner: Vegetable Samosas by Rose Rivezzi - 2017 Cookie winner: Candy Cane Chip Cookies by Sandy McCloy - 2018 Special Diet winner: Lucy's Best Chocolate Cake (vegan) by Lynn Clark - 2019 Savory winner: Cheese & Potato Phyllo Cups by Fatima Mustafa - 2019 Cookie winner: Tweed Cakes by Mary Michalek Each basket has a value of over $120. Tickets are available at the register: $2 each\, 3 for $5\, and 20 for $20. The drawing for the winners will be held on Wednesday\, December 22nd. We invite our generous bakers of the past and those who were planning to bake this year\, to please consider contributing the cost of the ingredients to the Baking Fest for the Neighborhood Center.
