DESCRIPTION:TALES OF THE HAUNTED NORTH\n\nA WRITING WORKSHOP AND STORY SLAM\n\n\n\nOn Thursday\, October 5th from 6-8 PM\, join folklorist Tilly Lind at TAUNY to learn about the structure of folktales and make your own spooky story\, poem\, or song using the metal art of James Gonzalez as inspiration. Enjoy fun group activities to get the creative juices flowing and help you prepare a haunting tale that you can present at their Spooky Story Slam the next night. Registration is required.\n\nOn Friday\, October 6th at 6-8 PM\, return to The TAUNY Center to share your best scary stories\, songs\, and poems. The theme for this event is "The Haunted North" with family friendly spooky works with a tie to North Country life\, lore\, and landscapes. Participants are invited to submit their name and the title of their work at the beginning of the event. Each piece should be restricted to about 5 minutes. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
