Johnson-Weiner has spent nearly 40 years exploring Amish life\, language\, faith\, and culture. She is the author of Train up a Child: Old Order Amish and Mennonite Schools\, New York Amish: Life in the Plain Communities of the Empire State\, The Amish\, and her most recent book\, the feature of this talk\, The Lives of Amish Women.
