DESCRIPTION:THE MAPLE RUN HALF MARATHON & 5K\n\nCelebrate the end of winter in the North Country!\n\nEstablished in 2017\, The Maple Run is the premier half marathon in St. Lawrence County. Run to celebrate the end of winter\, contribute to the economic growth of our community\, and benefit local running programs. While The Maple Run encourages the sport of running for all\, they proudly focus on supporting girls' and women's cross country teams from high school to collegiate levels. Maple Run proceeds to support local youth\, girls'\, and women's running programs. \n\n\n\nHybrid Half Marathon: Participants get the thrill of crossing the finish line in person. The first 10 miles of the hybrid half is at a participant's own pace whenever and wherever they want. On run day\, hybrid registrants join the 5K event to complete the last 3.1 miles of the half marathon.\n\n\n\nThe Maple Run continues to offer a virtual option for the half marathon and 5K.\n\n\n\nPrizes for the half marathon will be awarded to finishers in 1st\, 2nd & 3rd places in women's\, men's and gender non-binary categories.\n\n\n\nAll in person and hybrid participants will be eligible for a door prize package drawn after the half marathon concludes. \n\n\n\nTo make training more fun in the winter month\, the Bucc Wild Run Club offers a free group run on Tuesdays\, at 6pm in Canton\, NY.
