\nFireworks after the concert!!! Waddington Concert Series 2021 presents The Atkinsons Family Band along with guest member championship fiddler Donny Woodcock! Due to severe storms on August 7th. The Homecoming Fireworks were postponed.treet businesses will be available (Mack'\;s Tavern - Pizza and Wings\, Main St Perc- Ice Cream and sweets\, and Borderlife Liquor and Wines. ) Additionally food vendors will be with us. Bonnie Taylor will have food and snacks and Italian Affair will be serving Italian food!
\nThe Atkinson Family Band will play Blue Grass Music under the Pavilion at Island view Park from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The fireworks will be set off at dark following the concert. Bring your appetite! \nThe Atkinsons are a well established family band\, rooted in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. They play a style all their own\, an acoustic genre of bluegrass and Americana music with a refreshing sound. They compose a lot of the songs they perform\, which tell the stories of their lives in the northern mountains of the Adirondacks.
\nThe band consists of Richard on banjo\; Shelene on guitar\; Liza on mandolin and guitar\; Sara Atkinson on bass and National Champion Dave Bevins on resonator guitar. Adam will join them on occasion on mandolin.
\nCovid information will be posted as we review current guidelines and finalize decisions. For the past eleven years\, the Concert Series has allowed us to showcase local North Country musical acts along with other acts not often showcased in this area. \; These acts brought enjoyment to over 6\,500 people in 2019! The twelfth year of the Waddington Concert Series was scheduled to begin on June 19th\, 2020. Due to the pandemic all concerts were rescheduled for summer 2021. We start off the tentative sensational 2021 season with our opening show \;on June 18th. We sincerely thank our supporters and entertainers for their understanding\, cooperation and loyalty! We are excited to present nine fantastic concerts in our beautiful \;pavilion at Island View Park rain or shine!!! \; \;\n\n
