DESCRIPTION:YELLOW BARN CONCERT SERIES\n\nThe Iva Smith Memorial Gallery of Fine Art will host a summer concert series with various dates held June - September. Listeners are invited to ask the performers questions and see their instruments at close hand. \n\n\n\nTHE CARAMELO TRIO... A Sound Tapestry South of the Border to perform on Sunday\, September 17 at 5:00pm.\n\nCaramelo Trio -- Oscar Sarmiento\, Guitar and Vocals\; Beth Robinson\, Cello\; Mark Seymour\, Percussion (cajon and bongos) -- creates an exciting blend of lyrical melody and rhythmic motion inspired by the rich traditions of Latin American musical styles such as tango\, Bossa nova\, waltzes\, and more. As Professor of Latin American literature at SUNY Potsdam\, Dr. Sarmiento is now incorporating poetry into the trio's repertoire.\n\n\n\nOver the past ten years\, Caramelo Trio has been featured on North Country Public Radio and has performed in both the Saranac Lake Summer Concert Series and the Brockport Summer Concert Series\, in addition to numerous local settings.\n\n\n\n2023 Yellow Barn Concert Schedule\n\nJune 11: FIDDLERS THREE at 5:00pm\n\nJune 18: WORLD ON A STRING at 5:00pm\n\nJuly 12: CANTIGA at 5:00pm\n\nJuly 23: SUMMER AFTERNOON SONG SOIREE FT.
