DESCRIPTION:YELLOW BARN CONCERT SERIES\n\nThe Iva Smith Memorial Gallery of Fine Art will host a summer concert series with various dates held June - September. Listeners are invited to ask the performers questions and see their instruments at close hand. \n\n\n\nMAEVE GILCHRIST\, Harper\, Composer and Producer to perform on Saturday\, September 23 at 2:00pm.\n\n\n\nDescribed by one critic as "a phenomenal harp player who can make her instrument ring with unparalleled purity"\, Maeve Gilchrist has taken the Celtic (lever) harp to new levels of performance and visibility.\n\n\n\nBorn and raised in Edinburgh\, Scotland\, and currently based in the New York City area\, Maeve's innovative approach to her instrument stretches its harmonic limits and improvisational possibilities.
