Book Signing and Music in Massena

A celebration of Fort Covington will take place at the St Lawrence Centre Mall, in Massena this Saturday, August 5th. The public is invited to celebrate the bicentennial at North Country Showcase; the new store located in the Mall. At 11 am North Country Showcase will hold a book signing and reading by Jack Boyle, author of “Sunset on the Tracks”, his memoir of Fort Covington, the town he grew up in during the 1950’s. From 12 - 3 pm music will be provided by Joe Chamberlain, an acoustic performer who has played throughout Northern and Central NY and now lives in Fort Covington. He will play songs of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, as well as contemporary selections. A specially-designed tee-shirt of "the Wall" on Main Street in Fort Covington, created by Commercial Press in Canton, will also be for sale in the store during Saturday’s festivities.
