DESCRIPTION:LAND\, LIBERTY & LOSS BOOK STUDY\n\n\n\nThe Ogdensburg History Museum is proud to announce its commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution with a book study titled "Land\, Liberty and Loss". The museum has received a grant from Humanities New York to conduct this study\, which will be led by Dr. Melissane Parm Schrems\, chair of the history department at St. Lawrence University.\n\nThe book study\, which will begin on October 17th\, is an exploration of our nation's founding and its ongoing impact on racial justice and the American landscape.\n\n\n\n"Liberty\, Land\, and Loss" aims to prompt reflection on the human connectedness between the natural and built environments\, and to encourage a holistic understanding of how the Revolution has affected indigenous histories\, the use of natural resources\, political development\, and national expansion.\n\n\n\nThe book study will meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month\, with classes limited to 10 participants. Interested individuals must register in advance on the museum's website (ogdensburghistorymuseum.com) or by calling 315-528-0733.
