Annual Open House festivities in Potsdam

Annual Open House at the Potsdam Food Co-op on September 17th! The Potsdam Food Co-op will be celebrating 49 years serving the North Country with its Annual Open House being held on Saturday, September 17th from 11am - 2pm. Please JOIN US under the big tents at 24 Elm Street for a day of Food, Music, and Fun! This festive event is open to everyone! It is an opportunity for those interested in learning more about the Co-op to see the store and what it has to offer, as well as a time for Co-op members and non-members to gather socially. Everyone who shops in the store on the day of the Open House will receive a 10% discount (in addition to member discounts) on purchases for the day (a few exclusions apply). There will be live music, free samples, kids’ activities, and raffles (including a 5 pound jar of Squeak Creek Honey and a Head & Heal Gift Basket). Food samples being offered will be from the Co-op’s own Carriage House Bakery and Deli and also from a number of Co-op vendors. A variety of music will be provided throughout the day by local musicians: Sal Sarmiento, Mike Corse & Jessie LaRose, and father and son duo: Angus & Andrew Lamora. The Potsdam Food Co-op & Carriage House Bakery and Deli is located at 24 Elm Street and open daily from 8am to 7pm, with curbside service available. It is a member-owned cooperative grocery store (although membership is not required) where everyone is welcome to shop and anyone is welcome to join. Committed to the community and local sustainability, its emphasis is on providing natural and organic foods with the practice of buying from local and regional growers and producers. A large selection of specialty items such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan foods are also available.
