Have some harvest-season fun from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, October 14th, 2017, at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St., Canton! Kids will press apple cider, paint pumpkins, make pine-cone turkeys and leaf placemats, and more as they learn about fall agricultural traditions. This is another of the SLCHA’s fun and free programs for kids ages 4-10 and their parents or caregivers.
Children’s books, like The Adirondack Kids: The Fall of Fort Ticonderoga by Justin & Gary VanRiper and The First Thanksgiving, by Linda Hayward, are available for purchase at the SLCHA. Old-fashioned toys like spinning tops, jacks, and Jacob’s ladders are also available, and SLCHA members receive a 10% discount on most items in the Gift Shop.
