The Norwood Village Green Concert Series celebrates their 52nd season this summer with weekly performances at the Liotta Bandshell on the Green. Bring a blanket and chairs and enjoy a variety musical genres. Concerts feature local musicians and nationally recognized Grammy Award winning artists performing a variety of music featuring: Americana, blues, jazz, folk, wind ensembles, rock and more! *Thursday, May 29* Begins at 5PM | SLC Music Educators Event Assoc. Day
This music education showcase is presented in partnership with the St. Lawrence County Music Educators Association. The special event features local school musicians performing as soloists or with larger ensembles of their choosing, under the direction of their music teachers.
Sunday, June 1 | The Kody Norris Show
This talented group finds themselves with a growing legion of fans craving the comfort of their retro look, but equally craving dynamic instrumentation and thought-provoking lyrics, all of which can be heard throughout their epic new album Rhinestone Revival. Featuring: frontman Kody Norris, Josiah Tyree, Mary Rachel Nalley-Norris, and Charley Lowman.
Thursday, June 5 | 123 Andres
123 Andrés are a husband-and-wife duo that creates children's music in both English and Spanish. They have performed for audiences across the U.S., as well as in Puerto Rico, Panama, and Mexico. The duo won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Latin Children's Album for Arriba Abajo and were nominated for a Grammy Award in the same category in 2021 for Actívate. In 2024, they won the Grammy Award for Best Children's Music Album for their album We Grow Together: Children's Songs.

Rock with this Ogdensburg-based band. Featuring: Alexa Trimm (vocals/keys), Tristen "Fitzy" Fitzgerald (guitar), Eddie "Edboy" Miller (drums/backing vocals), and Jesse Anderson (bass/vocals).
Thursday, June 12 | Bluebird
Enjoy live music by Bluebird, an original singer-songwriter folk-rock/country band from Malone, NY. Their music derives from influences such as Fleetwood Mac, Miranda Lambert, and all-time favorites like Wagon Wheel and House of the Rising Sun. Featuring: Tammy Myatt (keys/ukulele/vocals), Josee Allard (guitar/bass/vocals), Michael Dufort (percussion), and Pete Sprague (electric guitar/vocals).

Thursday, June 19 | Northern Symphonic Windsin
Northern New York's only professional wind ensemble, Northern Symphonic Winds, will perform music suited for outdoor concerts. Founded in 1998, Northern Symphonic Winds is a 46?52-piece wind and percussion ensemble comprised of faculty from the Crane School of Music, Northern New York music teachers, select Crane students, and other professionals.
The ensemble holds firmly to three primary objectives: to feature the finest wind and percussion performers available in the North Country, to perform music of the highest quality, and to bring enjoyment and satisfaction not only to the ensemble's musicians but also to audiences across the region. Its Principal Conductors have included founding members Dr. Tim Topolewski, Scott LaVine, and Dr. James Madeja. Dr. Brian Doyle is currently Principal Conductor. Guest conductors have included Stephen Meyer, Peter Lewis, and Adam Slywotsky.
Sunday, June 22 | We Cherish the Ladies feat. The Goddard Girls & Uprooted
We Cherish the Ladies is a 2 part event that features an all female cast.
The Goddard Girls are local sisters who play love to perform together and as solo performers throughout the region. Holly Goddard is an accomplished fiddler with over twelve years of experience and a recent graduate of the Crane School of Music, where she studied under Liesl Doty, a renowned crossover fiddler and violinist. Brooke Goddard has been dedicated to mastering the bodhrán for approximately nine years, receiving instruction from several esteemed teachers, including Aimee Farrell Courtney, the 2010 World Bodhrán Champion.
Uprooted came to the North Country from all over the United States at different times to put down new roots, and here they have found home. The band, who have been making music together for up to 10 years, plays an eclectic mix of favorites from the 1890s to the 1990s, as well as original songs that draw on American music traditions from country to swing to hot jazz and rock, all intertwined with vocal harmonies, guitar, mandolin, bass, banjo, and fiddle. Featuring: Camilla Ammirati, Catherine Jahncke, Rosemary Philips, and Lenore VanderZee.
*Monday, June 23* (Bonus Performance Date) | We Cherish the Ladies feat. Nicole White & 2025 Grammy Award Nominee Sue Foley
We Cherish the Ladies is a 2 part event that features an all female cast.
Nicole White is a 16-year-old singer/songwriter from Norwood, NY. She has been performing locally since the age of 10 and was a finalist in the Talent Showcase at the New York State Fair in 2024. Nicole has played numerous summer concert series throughout the North Country and has also performed at both the Franklin and St. Lawrence County fairs. She is an honors student at NNCS and played the lead in this year's musical Matilda.
Sue Foley has performed for the series both as a soloist and with her band. She has received Juno, Blues Foundation, and Maple Blues Awards (including the Lifetime Achievement Award), and has been nominated for a 2025 Grammy in the Traditional Blues category for her One Guitar Woman recording. Her pink Fender guitar hangs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, displayed alongside guitars of the greats.
Thursday, June 26 | Northbound
The members of Northbound bring decades of performance and educational excellence to stages and classrooms across Northern New York, from K-12 schools to universities and beyond. They perform an eclectic mix of folk, acoustic, and classic rock, along with a potpourri of other musical styles! The core of Northbound has been together for over 15 years, and the current lineup continues to perform concerts and shows at venues throughout the North Country and Upstate New York. Based in Potsdam, NY, Northbound is a six-member band featuring Michael Welch (guitar, vocals), Andy Van Duyne (guitar, vocals), Don Canemela (bass, vocals), Larry Baycura (drums), Chip Lamson (keyboards, vocals), and Tim Savage (saxophone).
Sunday, June 29 | Lss Guracheras
Las Guaracheras is an all-women salsa sextet born in the city of Cali, Colombia, in 2017. The ensemble's cultural and artistic objective is to uplift the female voice within Afro-Latin music and help build a more inclusive, diverse, and respectful cultural space for all. Their music communicates joy, memory, and transformation. With vibraphone, percussion, bass, piano, and vocals, Las Guaracheras deliver an explosive show that inspires dancing, singing, and reflection.
Sunday, July 13 | Shavon Llyod
Shavon received his bachelor's degree from the Crane School of Music and was awarded a full scholarship to Juilliard, where he earned a masters degree in vocal performance. He is a true triple threat performer, conductor, and composer, and has received awards in all three areas. His performance credits include Carnegie Hall, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the St. Louis Opera Company, and the Opera House in Geneva, Switzerland. In 2019, he performed in a memorial concert dedicated to his mentor, Dr. Lonel Woods, for the Norwood Village Green Concert Series. On July 12th, he will receive SUNY Potsdam?s Rising Star Award for 2025, a fitting honor that complements his return performance in Norwood.

Whiskey Room is a local group of four friends brings a mix of original songs and well-loved covers. Members include: David Wells, Tim Flack, Laura Fitzsimmons Gilbert, and Daniel Cassada.
Sunday, July 20 | Kate Prascher
Kate Prascher is a songwriter with a haunting, clear sound and vision. Originally from Tennessee and now based in New York's Hudson Valley, she is also a fourth-grade teacher in the Mount Kisco public school system. Her songs say the things that don't make it into polite conversation, revealing everyday darkness, wading through undercurrents of memory, and sketching half-portraits of characters both real and imagined. In her 2024 album Shake the Dust, Prascher sings the quiet parts loud and the loud parts quietly. She evokes American folk tradition and carries it forward. Expect to hear new songs from a voice often described as having an intangible vintage feel.
*Thursday, July 24* Begins at 6PM | Norwoodstock curated by Andy Van Duyne
Norwoodstock features approximately 20 local individuals and groups performing both individually and together in concert to benefit the Norwood/Norfolk/Raymondville Outreach Center. Northbound will once again serve as the house band. All musicians generously donate their time and talents to this worthy cause.
Sunday, July 27 | Old Time Fiddle Show with Grechen Koehler, Don Wododcock, Annie Daveys & Jeremy Rusu
The Old-Time Fiddle Show brings together North Country fiddlers Gretchen Koehler and Don Woodcock, along with Canadian duo Annie Davey and world-class multi-instrumentalist Jeremy Rusu. A stage full of Fiddlers, Hall of Fame inductees, these close friends celebrate the heart of old-time music with stories, local history, and toe-tapping tunes. Their three-part harmony captures the spirit of a tradition cherished by fiddle fans for generations.
*Thursday, July 31* Bonus Juggling Workshop at 6PM | The Bindlestiff Family Cikus
The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will offer a juggling workshop at 6 PM, followed by their performance at 7 PM.
Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc. prides itself on being an integral part of America's rich folk traditions of circus, sideshow, and vaudeville, producing original shows, festivals, and public events. Over the decades, Bindlestiff has presented nearly 600 of the world's top artists in the circus and variety fields. Performing in its home region of NYC and the Hudson Valley, as well as on national tours across the United States, the company engages audiences of all ages ? both the young and the young at heart.
Bindlestiff has captivated hundreds of thousands through performances in theaters, Spiegeltents, big tops, cruise ships, fairs, and festivals ? including the Smithsonian?s Folklife Festival. This show will delight audiences both old and young alike.
Sunday, August 3 | LauraB ft. The Folk & Contemporary Music of Spain
LauraB is a soulful Spanish singer-songwriter from Andalusia, known for her intimate, acoustic performances that blend traditional Spanish folk with modern pop sensibilities. With a deep, smoky, and soulful voice that captivates, and lyrics that resonate deeply, LauraB brings raw emotion and authenticity to every stage she graces. She began her solo career in 2013 with Montaña Rusa and recently released a new EP, El Faro. She will be accompanied by her touring ensemble: LauraB (vocals and guitar), Macue Narbona (percussion), Elena Jiménez (accordion, hurdy-gurdy, lyre, and clarinet), and Paqui Benítez (backing vocals).
Thursday, August 7 | The Brass Fireman
The Brass Firemen is another group for which it can be said: Enjoy them, that's what legions of fans have done since 1946. This legendary local ensemble has been celebrated both around the world and around the corner, from practicing at the old DPW building on Bernard Avenue to performing in Presidential Inaugural Parades and the Opening Ceremonies of the 1984 Winter Olympics, this group has done it all.
Thursday, August 14 | The New Horizons Swing Band
Under the new direction of Paul Buehl, New Horizons gives adults the opportunity to learn an instrument, or learn a new one, and play it in a group setting. The program promotes hands-on music-making for adults.
About The Series
The Norwood Village Green Concert Series is a non-profit organization founded to impact local communities via inspiring and spirit-uplifting outdoor performances. It was conceived and co-founded by Joseph and Harriet Liotta in 1974. The series prides itself in its programming for children and youth, additional programming at Norwood Norfolk Central School, as well as its long history of giving opportunities for student musician performances on The Green. The series always tries to present its offerings in the spirit of community whether the performer is the beginning student or the internationally recognized super-star artist.
