The Wachtmeister Field Station is located just south of the St. Lawrence University campus on Park Street/County Route 27 in Canton. If approaching from Canton Village, it is the first driveway on the left after passing over the wooden bow bridge over the Little River. If approaching from the south, the Field Station is the third driveway on the right after passing Kunoco.

Description
June 21st is the summer solstice, the official first day of summer and the longest day of the year! Celebrate with a Summer Solstice Campfire hosted by Nature Up North the very next day on June 22nd! They will start with a short walk on the Kip Trail, talk a bit about why the solstices and seasons happen and enjoy the Kip tract's forested wetland on a summer evening. Then you'll head back to the campfire to indulge in s'mores and a sun that won't set until nearly 9:00pm! This event is free and perfect for all ages.
