Slow Art Day
The Frederic Remington Art Museum invites visitors to experience art in a new way during Slow Art Day on Saturday, April 5, 2025. This global event encourages participants to slow down and engage deeply with a select group of artworks, fostering greater appreciation and meaningful conversations.
Attendees will spend about 10 minutes observing each of four pre-selected artworks, allowing time for thoughtful contemplation, observation, and personal reflection. Afterward, participants will gather in the Tiffany Room at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM for a moderated discussion about their experiences.
How It Works:
- Upon arrival, visitors will receive a rack card introducing the concept of Slow Art Day.
- Guests will then take their time viewing the assigned artworks, reflecting on guided questions provided on the card.
- There’s no rush—participants can linger on any piece that resonates with them.
- The event concludes with a group discussion, where participants share insights and observations.
