About Us

TAUNY is a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing the folk culture and living traditions of the North Country. The TAUNY Center features exhibits, programs, and The North Country Folkstore.

TAUNY’s launched its nonprofit Newberry Cafe to the TAUNY Center in October of 2024. Working closely with local culinary artists, the cafe brings dishes that have roots in the North Country and contemporary offerings as well, all with quality ingredients, some of which will come directly from local North Country farms. The cafe runs serves paninis, crepes, & quiche, and new items including soups, salads and special desserts.
